Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS is not same as per common perception. Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is caused by HIV. It is a disease of immune system. Strange fact about this virus is , it does not a have a fix form or shape. It is transmitted from one to another by any activity which involves exchange of body fluids and blood. There is no vaccine or cure for AIDS so far, treatments can slow down the growth of the virus and disease. Treatment and drugs for this virus are expensive and in some countries these drugs are offered with the help of health missions of UN. There are groups and campaigns to advise and offer help to the affected persons. Precaution and safe-sex are the best way to avoid this disease.
